Chill trip, loved the spa

Just got back from Las Islas, pretty chill trip. Stayed in a Treetop Bungalow, it was super cool, felt like I was in a fancy treehouse. Tried out the Spa Treatments, had a massage, and it was really good, helped me unwind. The Choco Bar had some neat drinks too. Everything felt pretty relaxed, no rush. Getting there was a bit of a journey but once you're there, it's nice. I'd go again.

Good value for a luxury escape

I booked a Grand Suite during a seasonal promotion, which made the luxury feel much more accessible. I'm always looking for a good deal, and this felt like a fantastic value for what you get. The room was spacious and felt incredibly private. I also took advantage of a cooking class, which was a fun addition to the stay and felt reasonably priced. While it's certainly not a budget option, the discounts made it feel worth the money spent for such a high-end experience. I felt like I got a lot for my dollar.

Good hotel, great view

Booked a Sea View Bungalow. Room was clean, view was amazing. Food at Las Guacamayas was tasty. Check-in was quick. Transfer was on time. No complaints, would stay again.

Beautiful stay, minor issue

I recently stayed in a Treetop Bungalow and it was mostly fantastic. The room itself was stunning, and the immersion in nature was exactly what I wanted. The Private Island Dinner was a highlight; the food was delicious and the setting was truly memorable. However, checking in took a bit longer than I expected, and there was some confusion about my boat transfer arrangements, even though I'd confirmed them in advance. Everything got sorted, but it added a little stress at the start. Overall, a lovely, relaxing experience, just a few small kinks in the logistics.

Consistent quality, keeps me coming back

This was my third time staying at Hotel Las Islas, and once again, it didn't disappoint. I've tried different bungalows, and this time I was in a Private Pool Bungalow, which was just as luxurious and comfortable as my previous stays. The service is always reliable; the staff remembers you, and they make an effort. I did the Bioluminescent Plankton Tour again, and it was just as magical as I remembered. What I really appreciate is the consistency – you know what you're getting, and it's always top-notch. It's why I keep choosing them over other places in Baru.

How do you even get to this place from Cartagena airport? Is it a super long drive or do they have boat transfers?

S Sophie 2 months ago
They totally do boat transfers! It's way nicer than a long car ride, really sets the vibe. I think it's included or you can add it on.

Yeah, boat is the way to go. I think they have scheduled ones so you'd want to coordinate with your flight arrival. Saves a headache trying to figure out ground transport then.

Thinking of booking a treetop bungalow for next spring. Any good deals usually pop up for early booking or do I just wait for something last minute?

J Julia 2 months ago
Yeah, they definitely have early bird discounts. I snagged one for my trip last year, saved like 15%. Just keep an eye out on their site.

I've seen 'em do both, but the early booking usually gets you a better selection of rooms too. Last minute feels more like a gamble, especially for those popular bungalows.
